Diedra Celeste Miranda

Diedra is from Los Angeles where she worked and Directed at The Glendale Centre Theatre (The original and parent theatre of The Hale Centre Theatre).  Credits include TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD (Best Director award), IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE (Best Director award), AND THEN THERE WERE NONE, Agatha Christie’s A MURDER IS ANNOUNCED, PILLOW TALK, BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, And CINDERELLA. 

 

At the Hale Center Theatre in Gilbert, Arizona, she directed THE MIRACLE WORKER, JOHN LOVES MARY (Zoni nomination for Best Director), and BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. She received another nomination for Best Director for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at AYT. 

 

As an Actress, Diedra has performed a multitude of lead roles on stage.  Her favorite, Blanche Dubois in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE at The Group Repertory Theatre in LA. Other favorite acting credits include Maggie in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, Nellie in SOUTH PACIFIC, Emily in THE BELLE OF AMHERST, Claudia in NUTS and Sylvia in BROKEN GLASS.
