Donald T. Woodard

Don caught the production bug as a young teen, shooting with a single-tube black & white camera onto ½" open reel tape. He landed his first full-time job at 16 as an afternoon drive DJ for a Top-40 radio station. While majoring in Business and Mass Communications at Grand Canyon University, Don worked for several Phoenix stations, most notably CBS affiliate KOOL.  In early 1983, Don was given the chance to team up with Bryan Fails (now a VP at Scripps Network). Bryan and Don were instrumental in building, managing, and programming the MusicChannel, the first major competitor to the MTV Network. MusicChannel broadcast live VJs playing music videos, interviews, and features 24 hours a day on a handful of o&o over-the-air TV stations and created six hours of daily programming on satellite and cable. After MusicChannel, Don continued his career shooting and directing TV projects for clients such as ABC, ESPN, MTV, and Entertainment Tonight. Over the years he has had the pleasure to work with great entertainers like Jay Leno, Phil Hartman, and Howie Mandel, and with musicians Glen Campbell, Chicago, The Eagles, Huey Lewis, and many more. More recent TV projects include directing 30 episodes of Talking Dirty With The Queen of Clean for HGTV/DIY, The Golden Karma Awards show on WGN, and the series pilot for Angels In The Neighborhood.  In 2007, Don partnered with Executive Producer Julie Lee to form DYNAMIC! Productions. The focus for the company is integrating state-of-the-art video, lighting, sound and entertainment into large scale shows for Fortune 500 companies. For Microsoft, DYNAMIC! was tapped to join the production teams to introduce and roll out Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system, traveling around the world handling the live video for events from Taipei to Dubai. Don also directed the show to introduce Microsoft's biggest hardware innovation – the Surface tablet. Other corporate clients include The Rich Dad Companies, Sage Software, BeyondTrust, and John Deere.  For Theatre Artists Studio, he has designed sets and sound forThe Shadow Box, Twist of the Magi and The Last Romance.
