The Unexpected Man
by Yasmina Reza
The Studio presents its second production by French playwright Yasmina Reza with the intellectually stimulating The Unexpected Man.
Imagine two strangers on a train: The man, a famous author; the woman, a great admirer of his work. While the comedies by Reza presented so far in the Valley this season had couples in witty sparring matches, this piece examines the inner thoughts of two people who want to speak to each other but aren't quite sure how to go about it.
The Unexpected Man is an eloquent, engaging and touching play about two lonely people on a journey of mind and imagination.
Directed by Carol MacLeod, The Unexpected Man stars Drea Pruseau* and Steven Mastroieni.*
