Gus Edwards – writer, director
is a native of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He was taught playwriting and theatre arts at Lehman College in New York City; Iona College in New Rochelle, NY; Bloomfield College in New Jersey andCarolina School of the Arts. He is currently a Professor in the Herberger College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University, where he teaches film theory. A celebrated playwright, Edwards is the author of many plays and several books about black theatre and its history.
