Micki Shelton - writer
is delighted to be back in Arizona (having graduated from Arcadia High School) and to be a new member of Theatre Artists Studio. From 1992–1994, she was a member of South Coast Repertory’s Professional Conservatory where she studied playwriting with Literary Manager John Glore and had four short plays produced during SCR’s summer series. In 1994, her first full-length play, Circles, was included in Ashland, Oregon’s New Plays Festival. Since then, she has written four new full-length plays and had plays produced by City Lights Theatre Company, Arizona Classical Theatre and El Camino Real Playhouse. She has also had staged readings throughout Arizona and the Bay Area. She is past Board President of the Arizona Shakespeare Festival and currently serves on the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on Prescott’s 2050 Visioning Group, Cultural Affairs Working Group. Micki (aka S. Michele McFadden) is proud Mom of two: Phoenicians may’ve seen son Colin as Joey in Actor’s Theatre’s ’07 production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore. Daughter Molly attends Chapman University in So Cal and is teaching her mom how to wear make-up. Micki can be found at Wild Iris Coffeehouse, The Raven Café, or riding her bike on Prescott’s Peavine Trail.
