Valerie Noon-Holmes - producer, actor, writer
Valerie Noon-Holmes is the principal of The Biz Team, LLC, a visionary, full-service business development and entrepreneurs’ coaching firm devoted to helping clients grow and succeed. A serial entrepreneur herself, in 2002 she also founded The Dating Venture, a seminar/coaching enterprise for mature singles, appearing on television and radio as “Dr. Val.” She is writing a dating column and book reviews for “Sonoran Spotlight” magazine. Valerie also recently helped found E-Dome Industries, LLC, a company dedicated to bringing disaster-proof, sustainable, “green”, affordable housing to the world. She launched her performing career with leading performances in musical revues while obtaining her law degree at Columbia Law School in New York, and continued performing with private groups at small cabarets in the city. While working on Wall Street as a transaction attorney, she also trained with private acting and singing lessons. While living in Brussels, Belgium, working for Holiday Inn Worldwide as European counsel, she re-entered the theatre world by heading up costumes and props and playing small roles with the Brussels Shakespeare Society, and produced Miss Julie for the English Theatre Club. She moved on to leading roles with The American Theatre Company (Susy in Wait Until Dark; M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias; Big Mama in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), and The Brussels Light Opera Company (Mrs. Mullen in Carousel; Bloody Mary in South Pacific). She also did professional English dubbing and voiceover work for European films and commercials. A highlight was producing and performing in the “Salute To American Music” Festival sponsored by the City of Brussels. She gained additional training and performing experience by attending the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Summer Theatre Workshops in Luxembourg for five summers. After moving to Phoenix, Valerie performed in ensemble roles with “Is What It Is” Theatre Company, and took acting classes with Alan Tongret. She has been soloist at her church, and does professional voiceover work. Her public service has included the Arts Renaissance Initiative 9/11 Memorial Concert and Phoenix Arts Commission—Business Volunteers for the Arts (Special Project: Free Arts for Abused Children).
