David Middleman - director, actor, writer
recently relocated to the Valley from Dallas, Texas, where he was the co-founder and for several years the Artistic Director of the critically acclaimed Rising Moon Theatre. He has directed regional and national premieres of works by such authors as Ionesco, Richard Dresser, Fassbinder, Pinter, Schnitzler and DeLillo. He also served as Coordinating Director of the Dallas Playwrights Project. As an actor he has appeared on numerous Dallas stages including Second Thought Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theatre, Rising Moon Theatre, New Horizons Theatre, Undermain Theatre and Pegasus Theatre. Favorite roles include Gus in The Dumb Waiter, The Lover in Blood On a Cat's Neck and Willie in Beckett's Happy Days. David first appeared on stage in the Phoenix area in Mamet’s Oleanna. He has appeared in over 100 commercials and industrial films, as well as in film and television. He is an active playwright and screenwriter.
