Loretta Jacobs-Schwartz - actor
has been involved in theater for over 30 years as an actor, director, stage manager and set designer. She was the founder of a children's theater in upstate New York in 1970 that is still in existence, as well as co-founder of Arizona Contemporary Theatre at Pioneer Village. She has acted in numerous productions around the Valley. Favorite roles include "Claudia" in Nuts (Theater Works), "Hester" in Athol Fugard's Hello and Goodbye (ACT) and "Martha" in Strange Snow (Glendale Community Theatre). At Theatre Artists Studio, Loretta appeared in last season's staged reading of Certificate of Authenticity, designed the set for this season's production of Body of Water and was recently the stage manager for Kissing. Loretta, who is a retired attorney, received her undergraduate degree from State University of New York, College at Buffalo (Summa Cum Laude) and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Theatre Artists Studio.
