Maureen Chernick - actor, singer
is an actor, producer and director who started her professional career in Canada after graduating with honors from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London, England, where she became a member of the Greenwood Repertory Company. Maureen has had a stellar career in all phases of Stage, Film, Television and Radio and is the recipient of the prestigious Canadian Dominion Drama Award. She has a B.A. degree in Theater Arts and a degree in Costume Design from the London School of Design. In 1985 she formed a production company, “Dickens & Co.,” in Los Angeles, and since then she has produced, directed and acted in fund-raising productions for clients such as Irvine Company, Anheuser Busch, Hughes Aircraft, Aaron Spelling Productions and Disneyland, as well as numerous private clients throughout Western Canada and the Western U.S. She was seen as “Lorna” in “Sudz” at the Herberger Theater Center in January 2009 and is reprising that role for the current production of sudZ, a musical, here at The Studio.
